Harrison Bryant
Harrison Bryant Catches nine total passes in 2024
Sat, Jan 11, 2025, 7:07 AM
Bryant played 11 offensive snaps but was not targeted in the Raiders' Week 18 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Bryant finishes his 2024 campaign with nine receptions for 86 yards on 12 targets across 13 games with the Raiders, primarily providing depth at tight end behind All-Pro rookie Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer. Bowers isn't going anywhere, while Bryant is slated to become an unrestricted free agent ahead of the 2025 season.
Terrace Marshall
Terrace Marshall Finishes season with three catches
Sat, Jan 11, 2025, 7:02 AM
Marshall played 14 offensive snaps but was not targeted in the Raiders' Week 18 loss to the Chargers, closing out his 2024 campaign with three catches for 41 yards on six targets across seven games.
Analysis: Marshall was a late-October addition to the Raiders' practice squad before ultimately being activated for seven contests in the Silver & Black, providing depth at wide receiver following Davante Adams' departure to the Jets and DJ Turner's (knee) placement on injured reserve. Marshall is still only 24 years old, so the 2021 second-round pick will look to compete for a roster spot again in 2025, though it might not be in Las Vegas due to the upcoming arrival of a new head coach and general manager.
Dylan Laube
Dylan Laube Underwhelming rookie campaign
Sat, Jan 11, 2025, 6:52 AM
Laube returned a kickoff for 19 yards, but he logged just one offensive snap in the Raiders' Week 18 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Laube concluded his 2024 campaign with just one carry for no gain and a lost fumble across 10 games, also returning six kickoffs for 164 yards. The sixth rounder's rookie season was especially disappointing when considering the litany of injuries suffered by his backfield mates, as each of Alexander Mattison, Zamir White (quadriceps), Ameer Abdullah (foot) and Sincere McCormick (ankle) missed time. Laube has three years remaining on his contract in Las Vegas, but neither playing time nor a roster spot are guaranteed in 2025 with the Raiders slated to hire a new head coach and general manager.
Michael Mayer
Michael Mayer No end zone trips in 2024
Wed, Jan 8, 2025, 9:06 AM
Mayer caught all four of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: He concluded the 2024 season with 21 receptions for 156 yards on 32 targets across 11 games. Mayer appeared in the Raiders' final eight contests of the season after missing Weeks 4 through 9 due to personal reasons, and his return was highlighted by a seven-catch, 68-yard performance Week 14 at Tampa Bay. The 2023 second-rounder selection's fantasy ceiling was limited by the emergence of fellow tight end Brock Bowers, who set multiple rookie records en route to a 112-1,194-5 receiving line on 153 targets in 17 games. Mayer has two years remaining with the Raiders on his own rookie contract, but given Bowers' dominance and the fact that Las Vegas' current regime didn't draft Mayer, the Notre Dame product could be a valuable trade candidate this offseason.
Kristian Wilkerson
Kristian Wilkerson Getting another opportunity
Mon, Jan 6, 2025, 4:13 PM
Wilkerson signed a reserve/future contract with the Raiders on Monday.
Analysis: Wilkerson has spent most of the last two seasons in Las Vegas, mainly on their practice squad. The 27-year-old appeared in three games for the Raiders last season though, making two catches on three targets for 18 yards and a touchdown.
Tyreik McAllister
Tyreik McAllister Staying in Vegas
Mon, Jan 6, 2025, 4:10 PM
McAllister signed a reserve/future contract with the Raiders on Monday.
Analysis: McAllister finished the season on Las Vegas' practice squad, but he did appear in three games with the team during the 2024 campaign. The 26-year-old only played four snaps on offense, but did have two rushes for 11 yards and worked on special teams as a return man.
Brock Bowers
Brock Bowers Concludes remarkable rookie season
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 9:55 PM
Bowers recorded four receptions on nine targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Bowers was unable to record his first catch until early in the third quarter, and the majority of his production came in garbage time on the Raiders' final offensive possession. Nevertheless, he managed to tally the fifth touchdown of his rookie season and reached at least 50 receiving yards for the fourth time in seven games since the Raiders' bye in Week 10. Bowers ends his incredible campaign with the most receptions by a rookie in NFL history (112) and the most yardage (1,194) by a rookie tight end in league history.
Jakobi Meyers
Jakobi Meyers Concludes career-best season
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 9:42 PM
Meyers recorded nine receptions on 10 targets for 123 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Meyers was the only thing working in the Raiders' offense for the majority of the game, as he connected with Aidan O'Connell for four receptions of at least 20 yards -- the longest of which went for a 25-yard score. That was enough to bring him over 1,000 receiving yards in a season for the first time in his career. Meyers will enter 2025 in the final year of his three-yard contract with the Raiders, and he should remain a key part of the offense.
Alexander Mattison
Alexander Mattison Limited volume as lead back
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 9:30 PM
Mattison rushed the ball six times for 20 yards in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers. He added four receptions on five targets for 11 yards.
Analysis: Mattison served as the clear lead back for Las Vegas with Ameer Abdullah (foot) sidelined, though he had only one rushing attempt after halftime despite the Raiders being down one score until late in the contest. The story of this game also encapsulated Mattison's campaign, as he averaged a miserable 3.2 yards per carry in one of the least explosive offenses in the league. He'll hit free agency this offseason and will likely sign a short-term deal with the hopes of serving as a change-of-pace back.
Aidan O'Connell
Aidan O'Connell Throws momentum-changing pick
Sun, Jan 5, 2025, 9:12 PM
O'Connell completed 24 of 34 passes for 214 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers. He added four rushes for 13 yards.
Analysis: O'Connell had effective moments early in the contest, particularly on a drive early in the second quarter during which he threw for 47 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown strike to Jakobi Meyers. However, he threw an interception just before halftime that resulted in the Chargers cashing in a touchdown, shifting the momentum in the game and seemingly taking the Raiders out of any offensive rhythm. Las Vegas struggled to settle on a starting quarterback throughout the season, and the team is likely to look for an upgrade at the position this offseason, potentially shifting O'Connell down the depth chart.
Alexander Mattison
Alexander Mattison In line to pace Week 18 backfield
Fri, Jan 3, 2025, 5:13 PM
With Ameer Abdullah (foot) ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Chargers, Mattison is in line to start at running back for the Raiders in Week 18, per Tashan Reed of The Athletic.
Analysis: Mattison, who carried 10 times for 32 yards and caught one of three targets for six yards in last weekend's win over the Saints (a game in which Abdullah logged 20 carries for 115 yards to go along with three catches), is thus in line for an expanded role Sunday, with Chris Collier and Dylan Laube to a lesser degree available to mix in, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. With that in mind, Mattison offers fantasy managers who are dealing with injuries or resting starters with a Week 18 pivot option.
Ameer Abdullah
Ameer Abdullah Won't play Sunday
Fri, Jan 3, 2025, 4:48 PM
Abdullah (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Chargers.
Analysis: Per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com, head coach Antonio Pierce initially indicated that Abdullah would be listed as doubtful for the contest. However, it has been confirmed that the running back, who is coming off a strong effort Week 17, will sit out the Raiders' final game of the 2024 season. In Abdullah's absence, Alexander Mattison is in line to lead the team's Week 18 backfield, with Chris Collier also mixing in, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic, and Dylan Laube potentially seeing some work in passing situations, according to Tafur.
Alexander Mattison
Alexander Mattison In line to start Sunday
Fri, Jan 3, 2025, 2:06 PM
Mattison is expected to be the Raiders' starting running back Sunday versus the Chargers with Ameer Abdullah (foot) listed as doubtful for that contest, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Among his 13 appearances this season, Mattison has surpassed 4.0 YPC just one time (5-60-0 back in Week 4 against the Browns), and overall he's averaged 3.2 yards on his 126 rushes to date. He at least has supplemented poor performance on the ground with 32 catches (on 43 targets) for 283 yards while also scoring five total TDs. With Abdullah likely sidelined this weekend, Mattison should take on an expanded role, but he also may yield RB reps to Chris Collier and maybe even Dylan Laube.
Ameer Abdullah
Ameer Abdullah Doubtful for Week 18
Fri, Jan 3, 2025, 1:34 PM
Coach Antonio Pierce said Friday that Abdullah (foot) will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: In the wake of a standout 20-carry, 115-yard effort this past Sunday at New Orleans that also included three catches (on four targets) for 32 yards, Abdullah has been tending to a foot injury that didn't allow him to practice this week. He thus appears in line to miss his first game of the campaign, which would allow the combination of Alexander Mattison, Chris Collier and perhaps even Dylan Laube to man the Raiders backfield Sunday.
Ameer Abdullah
Ameer Abdullah Misses practice again
Thu, Jan 2, 2025, 5:00 PM
Abdullah (foot) remained sidelined at practice Thursday.
Analysis: Abdullah is coming off a career-high 115-yard rushing effort in Week 17, but back-to-back missed practices cloud his status for Sunday's season finale against the Chargers. If Abdullah is limited or out this weekend, Alexander Mattison and Chris Collier likely would be next up for the Raiders' Week 18 carries, with Dylan Laube a candidate to mix in.
Ameer Abdullah
Ameer Abdullah Doesn't practice Wednesday
Wed, Jan 1, 2025, 5:29 PM
Abdullah (foot) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Abdullah logged 20 carries for a career-high 115 yards and caught three of his four targets for 32 yards in this past Sunday's 25-10 win over the Saints. However, the running back suffered a foot injury late in the contest, and his absence from practice to kick off Week 18 prep means that his status will need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers. If Abdullah ends up missing the season finale, the Raiders would likely turn to Alexander Mattison and Chris Collier to handle most of the snaps out of the backfield.
Ameer Abdullah
Ameer Abdullah Injures foot late in Week 17
Tue, Dec 31, 2024, 10:45 AM
Abdullah emerged from Sunday's 25-10 win over the Saints with a foot injury, Luke Straub of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Abdullah handled a season-high 23 touches and accounted for 147 yards and led Raiders running backs with a 62 percent snap share in the win, but he didn't take a handoff or draw a target after the first play of the fourth quarter. Though the Raiders listed Abdullah as questionable to return due to the foot injury at one point later in the quarter, he ultimately never checked back into the contest while Chris Collier served as the primary back on Las Vegas' last drive. Abdullah's status thus warrants monitoring heading into this Sunday's game against the Chargers, but given how well he fared against the Saints, the 31-year-old would likely be in store for the lead role out of the backfield if the foot issue doesn't inhibit him too much in practice this week.
Michael Mayer
Michael Mayer Targeted twice in win
Tue, Dec 31, 2024, 9:29 AM
Mayer caught one of two targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Saints.
Analysis: Mayer logged 75 percent of the Raiders' offensive snaps, but he managed to catch only one pass while rookie tight end Brock Bowers posted a 7-77-0 receiving line on seven targets, setting multiple season records in the process. Mayer's snap share figures to remain elevated against the Chargers in Las Vegas' finale, but playing time hasn't equated to receiving production for him over the past three weeks.
Terrace Marshall
Terrace Marshall Catches 28-yard pass in win
Tue, Dec 31, 2024, 9:23 AM
Marshall caught one of two targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Saints.
Analysis: Marshall made his longest reception as a Raider on a 28-yard pass from quarterback Aidan O'Connell early in the second quarter, but the former second-round pick was targeted just once in the second half as Marshall continued to play behind Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker. A much more difficult test awaits in Week 18 when Las Vegas hosts the Chargers.
Tre Tucker
Tre Tucker Makes 18-yard TD reception in win
Tue, Dec 31, 2024, 9:16 AM
Tucker caught two of eight targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Saints. He also rushed once for five yards and returned two punts for 28 yards.
Analysis: Tucker made up for a measly 25 percent catch rate on eight targets with an 18-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter, but he's now caught just two passes or less in five consecutive games. It won't get any easier for Tucker in Week 18 against a stout Chargers defense that figures to play its starters throughout the contest, especially if the Bengals beat the Steelers on Saturday.
